The major new feature for 10.13.6 is AirPlay 2 multi-room audio support for iTunes. If you can’t wait until the release of the new version, consider DiskWarrior. Apple has released macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 update, and the 2018-004 security updates for Sierra and El Capitan. DiskWarrior 6 is under development and should support APFS drives. But because it’s not currently compatible with most modern Macs, now is not the time to buy. When I connect, it just says "Connecting" the whole time and the disconnect button pops up. DiskWarrior can rescue your data in scenarios where other tools fail.
